The Tuckers Rock Dunecare site is a testament to the fruits of volunteer Landcare. This once heavily degraded expanse at the end of Tuckers Rock Road is now a collection of vibrant plant communities, thanks to decades of bush regeneration by dedicated locals. Annika Faber (pictured) has been involved since the nineties, and is available to offer advice to anybody keen to take up the mantle of local coordinator.

All around the Shire locals are working to regenerate public land in areas of particular significance, and Tuckers Rock is one such place, featuring several ecological communities, including two threatened ones. Tuckers also has the advantage of allowing for a swim at the beach after the working bee! Tuckers is also the gateway to the beautiful Bundageree Rainforest Walk through Bongil Bongil National Park, immediately to the North.

Ben now coordinates the group, which meets on Wednesdays at 8:30 in the car park, weather permitting.
